Frequently asked questions

Yes. The Jolion and H6 both carry Haval's factory ADAS suite with a forward camera mounted to the windscreen and a front radar behind the central grille. Our model coverage table above shows the year ranges and the trigger profile we see for each.

The Jolion's bumper sits the radar slightly higher than the H6, but both react the same way to a bumper-off repair or a windscreen replacement. Send the registration when you enquire and we'll confirm which Haval variant you have and which calibration target board your specific build needs.

Because Haval's UK dealer presence is thin, and the few dealers that do this work source target boards and reference data through Haval's parent network in China. The dealer can't quote firm until they've inspected the car, which is where the £450+ starting point comes from.

Our accredited workshops run manufacturer-spec calibration rigs that cover both the Jolion and H6, and we quote a fixed price in hours. Same OEM procedure as the dealer would run, network pricing, certificate after the job. No inspection-then-revise.

Yes, provided the front-end structure is back to spec. We can't calibrate against a misaligned chassis or a radar housing that's been physically deformed.

The usual sequence is: body shop puts the front end back to factory geometry, fits the bumper and radar housing, replaces any damaged sensors. Then we calibrate. If the radar unit itself was damaged in the collision and replaced, the new unit also needs coding to the car before the calibration can run. That's all part of the Haval procedure on the H6 and we handle the coding and calibration in the same visit.

No. Under the Block Exemption Regulation, an independent workshop can carry out the calibration without affecting your warranty, provided they follow Haval's documented procedure and use manufacturer-spec equipment.

Our accredited workshops do both, and the certificate we issue documents what was done with the pre- and post-job readings. That record sits on the car's service history and protects your position with Haval if any question comes up at a future service or warranty visit.

Because the Jolion's forward camera is bonded to a bracket that's part of the windscreen assembly. When the screen comes out, the camera comes off with it, and the new screen ships with a fresh bracket that the camera has to be remounted to.

Even if the windscreen fitter remounts the camera carefully, the new bracket position is never exactly the same as the old one. A few millimetres of camera tilt translates to lane assist reading the road wrong further down the carriageway. The calibration aligns the camera against a target board so the system gets the lane lines back where they should be. It's a known follow-on job on every Jolion windscreen swap.
