Privacy Policy
What we collect, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR. Effective October 2025.
This Privacy Policy explains how ADAS Line ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our website, submit an enquiry, or otherwise contact us. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data responsibly and transparently.
1. Who we are
ADAS Line is a trading name of ADAS LINE LIMITED, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 17121507), registered office 37 Bedford Road, Northampton, NN1 5NG. We operate an independent lead generation network that connects United Kingdom drivers with approved ADAS calibration partners who can provide vehicle safety system calibration services.
You can contact us about this policy by email at info@adasline.co.uk. We do not currently operate a physical office in the United Kingdom.
2. Information we collect
When you submit your details through our website form, we collect:
- Name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Postcode
- Vehicle details (make, model, registration, VIN if available)
- Any message or notes you include in your submission
We also automatically collect technical and usage data: your IP address, approximate location derived from it (country, region, town and postcode area), device and browser type, the pages you visit and how long you spend on them, how you reached us (such as Google Ads, social or organic search), and advertising and analytics identifiers stored in cookies, including click identifiers such as the Google Ads gclid. This helps us measure and improve our website and advertising.
When you enter your registration to get a price, we send it to our vehicle data provider, CheckCarDetails, which returns your vehicle's make, model, specification and a stock image. We store this alongside your enquiry so we can quote and arrange the correct calibration.
Where you choose to book and pay online, your payment is processed securely by Stripe. We receive confirmation that payment was made and the booking details; we do not collect or store your full card details.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Identify the correct ADAS calibration process for your vehicle
- Provide an instant, vehicle-specific price for your calibration
- Determine service coverage in your area
- Forward your enquiry to an approved ADAS partner
- Allow our partner to contact you directly to confirm your calibration needs and provide a non-binding quote
- Improve the performance and functionality of our website
We do not carry out calibration work ourselves. The work is performed by an approved ADAS partner. Where you book and pay online, we take payment for the service and arrange for an approved partner to complete it. In other cases we forward your enquiry to a partner who quotes you directly.
4. Lawful basis for processing
Under UK data protection law, we rely on legitimate interest as our lawful basis for processing your personal data. This means we process your information to connect you with suitable calibration specialists, the core purpose for which you voluntarily provide it.
If you have opted into email contact or responded to marketing campaigns, we may also rely on consent for specific communications, which you can withdraw at any time.
5. How we share your information
We share your enquiry details only with approved ADAS partners who can provide the calibration services you requested. When a new enquiry is submitted, it is securely stored in our CRM system and a notification containing the relevant details is automatically sent to our partner by email.
Our partners use your information solely to contact you, confirm your request, and provide a quote. They are independent businesses with their own privacy and data protection policies. We do not sell, rent, or otherwise distribute your personal data to third parties for unrelated marketing.
Service providers we use
We use trusted third parties to run our service. They process your data only on our instructions:
- CheckCarDetails — vehicle data lookup from your registration.
- Stripe — secure payment processing where you pay online.
- Cloudflare — website hosting, delivery and security.
- Google, Microsoft and Meta — advertising and conversion measurement.
- Google Analytics and PostHog — website and product analytics.
Where you arrived from a paid advertisement, we may send a conversion signal (including identifiers such as a Google Ads click id) to the advertising platform to measure campaign performance. We do not share your name, email or phone number with advertising platforms for this purpose.
6. Data retention
We keep your enquiry information for a maximum of 12 months, unless required longer for administrative or legal reasons. After this period, data is deleted or anonymised. Analytics data (e.g. Google Ads, cookies) may be stored for longer periods in aggregated, non-identifiable form.
7. Data security
We store data in secure cloud systems with encryption and restricted access. Access to the CRM and submission notifications is limited to authorised personnel only. While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restriction: ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
- Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Portability: request your data in a structured, commonly used format.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@adasline.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.
9. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and tracking technologies to measure traffic and performance, analyse user behaviour (e.g. time on page, form submissions), and improve advertising relevance (e.g. Google Ads conversion tracking). You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time.
10. Links to other websites
Our website may contain links to partner or third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy, or data handling practices of those websites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies when you visit them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the website after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
12. Governing law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
Summary
In short: we only use your data to connect you with a trusted ADAS calibration partner. We keep it secure, don't sell it, and delete it when it's no longer needed. You always stay in control of your information.
