How calibration works
- 1
Send your details
Quick form, about 60 seconds. Your registration, what's been done or what's wrong, and how to reach you.
- 2
We match you to a service centre
We route your enquiry to the nearest service centre set up for your make. They confirm the itemised quote and the appointment with you direct, in writing, before anything is booked.
- 3
Calibration and certificate
The centre runs the manufacturer-spec calibration and issues your certificate on completion. Any diagnostic scan the job needs is itemised on the quote, never folded in silently.
Jaecoo calibration prices
Network rates, the same at every service centre, whichever Jaecoo is on the ramp. Every price is per system, shown inc VAT with the net figure alongside. Your total is confirmed in writing before anything is booked.
Calibration — per system
Coding a replaced part to your vehicle
- When your job needs a diagnostic scan, it's £54 inc VAT (£45 +VAT), always itemised as its own line. It shows which systems were live before work started.
- Two or more systems in one visit: the highest-priced system is full price, each additional system is 35% off at a centre. Scans aren't part of the discount. Front camera and front radar together come to £267.30 inc VAT (£222.75 +VAT).
- A replaced camera or radar is coded to the vehicle and then calibrated, so a replacement job is the coding line above plus the calibration for that system, with the multi-system discount applied at a centre. Your written quote itemises both.
- On mobile trade visits only: if the technician attends and the calibration can't be completed, a sensor fitted misaligned for example, a call-out fee of up to £72 inc VAT (£60 +VAT) applies.
- Mobile calibration is available for garages and bodyshops with workshop conditions. Ask us.

Frequently asked questions
Yes, that's one of the most common reasons Jaecoo 7 owners reach us. Autoglass and the other windscreen networks are excellent at the glass job, but the Jaecoo 7's ADAS calibration needs manufacturer-spec target boards and the brand procedure, which isn't part of a standard windscreen fitter's kit.
The forward camera on the Jaecoo 7 bonds to a bracket on the new windscreen, and the calibration aligns the camera against a target board so lane assist and forward collision warning read the road accurately. Our service centres carry the Jaecoo-compatible rig and the procedure. Bring the car in after the screen is fitted, we run the calibration, you leave with a certificate. Two-to-three hours.
Because the Jaecoo 7's front radar mounts behind the front grille area, and any bumper-off work disturbs the radar's reference aim. Even a careful refit puts the radar at a slightly different angle than factory.
A typical case looks like this: the body shop does the bumper, the radar housing moves a fraction on refit, and the dashboard ADAS warning fires. Calibration realigns the radar against a manufacturer-spec target board, and the forward collision and adaptive cruise features come back as soon as the procedure completes.
Quoted after inspection. Dealer quotes customers have shown us for ADAS work run £300 to £900. The Jaecoo dealer network in the UK is small and still growing, so dealers can't always quote firm until they've seen the car and confirmed the target board they need.
Our service centres carry manufacturer-spec calibration rigs for the Jaecoo 7 and price per system. Front camera calibration is £162 inc VAT (£135 +VAT), front radar is the same, with the full rate card on this page. Your quote is confirmed the same or next working day, itemised in writing before anything is booked. Same documented manufacturer procedure the dealer would follow, network pricing, certificate after the job. No inspection-then-revise. That's the main reason Jaecoo owners come to us, particularly after windscreen swaps and bumper repairs where the dealer wait is also a problem.
It means the forward-facing ADAS suite has lost confidence in its sensor readings, usually because the front camera or radar is out of alignment with where it expects the road to be.
On the Jaecoo 7, that warning shows after bumper repairs, windscreen swaps, or sometimes after a hard parking knock that shifted the radar's aim. The system disables the forward collision warning and the adaptive cruise until the alignment is restored. Cleaning the radar surface or restarting the car doesn't fix it: the underlying issue is alignment, not dirt. Calibration against a manufacturer-spec target board brings the readings back into tolerance and the warning clears.
No. Under UK block exemption rules, an independent workshop can carry out the calibration without affecting your warranty, provided they follow Jaecoo's documented procedure and use manufacturer-spec equipment.
Our service centres do both, and the certificate we issue documents the pre- and post-job readings on the camera and radar. That record sits on the car's service history and protects your position with Jaecoo. Particularly useful given the Jaecoo network is still small in the UK: a documented independent calibration record is what the dealer asks to see if a warranty question comes up later.
