How calibration works

  1. 1

    Send your details

Quick form, about 60 seconds. Your registration, what's been done or what's wrong, and how to reach you.

  2. 2

We match you to a service centre

We route your enquiry to the nearest service centre set up for your make. They confirm the itemised quote and the appointment with you direct, in writing, before anything is booked.

  3. 3

    Calibration and certificate

The centre runs the manufacturer-spec calibration and issues your certificate on completion. Any diagnostic scan the job needs is itemised on the quote, never folded in silently.

Omoda calibration prices

Network rates, the same at every service centre, whichever Omoda is on the ramp. Every price is per system, shown inc VAT with the net figure alongside. Your total is confirmed in writing before anything is booked.

Reversing camera calibration £206.40 inc VAT (£172 +VAT)

Coding a replaced part to your vehicle

Service At a service centre
Front radar replaced £232.80 inc VAT (£194 +VAT)
Front camera replaced £229.20 inc VAT (£191 +VAT)
Blind spot radar replaced £226.80 inc VAT (£189 +VAT)
Reversing camera replaced £213.60 inc VAT (£178 +VAT)
  • When your job needs a diagnostic scan, it's £54 inc VAT (£45 +VAT), always itemised as its own line. It shows which systems were live before work started.
  • Two or more systems in one visit: the highest-priced system is full price, each additional system is 35% off at a centre. Scans aren't part of the discount. Front camera and front radar together come to £267.30 inc VAT (£222.75 +VAT).
  • A replaced camera or radar is coded to the vehicle and then calibrated, so a replacement job is the coding line above plus the calibration for that system, with the multi-system discount applied at a centre. Your written quote itemises both.
  • On mobile trade visits only: if the technician attends and the calibration can't be completed, a sensor fitted misaligned for example, a call-out fee of up to £72 inc VAT (£60 +VAT) applies.
  • Mobile calibration is available for garages and bodyshops with workshop conditions. Ask us.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. The Omoda 5 (2024 onward in the UK) and Omoda 9 (2025 onward) both ship with factory-fitted ADAS, and our model coverage table above shows the typical triggers we see for each. On the 5 it's bumper repair and windscreen swap. On the 9 it's almost always a windscreen swap because the forward camera is bonded into the new glass mount.

Omoda is a relatively new brand in the UK, which means body shops and windscreen fitters often don't have the procedure documented and refer the calibration to the dealer. Send the reg when you enquire and we'll confirm the ADAS build spec on your car before booking.

Because the dealer network is small and the diagnostic platform Omoda uses sits behind a subscription cost the dealer has to recover across a low volume of cars. The result is a labour rate that lands above what you'd pay at a higher-volume mainstream dealer for the same job. Dealer quotes customers have shown us for ADAS work run £300 to £900.

Our service centres carry manufacturer-spec calibration equipment that handles the Omoda procedure, and the network rate doesn't get inflated by low dealer volume. Front camera calibration is £162 inc VAT (£135 +VAT), front radar is the same, with the full rate card on this page. Your quote is itemised in writing before anything is booked, certificate after every job. The certificate documents the post-calibration readings and sits on the car's service history so the dealer mark-up doesn't follow you to resale.

Because the forward radar on the Omoda 5 sits behind the lower bumper at a fixed angle, and the bracket that holds it is sensitive to bumper refit position. A body shop can repair the bumper cover and refit it flush by eye, but the radar's aim only needs to drift a fraction of a degree before the system loses confidence in its forward readings.

The car then logs a fault, shuts adaptive cruise and Forward Collision Warning down, and flags the dashboard warning. The repair itself is fine. The missing step is the calibration that realigns the radar to the manufacturer-spec target board after the bumper goes back on.

The Omoda 5 and Omoda 9 use Chery group ADAS hardware, which means the radar, camera and software platform are shared with related Chery and Jaecoo models. The calibration procedure runs through the same manufacturer-spec diagnostic platform, and the target boards used in the workshop are the ones the Chery group publishes.

What that means in practice is the procedure is well documented even though the Omoda dealer network in the UK is thin. The centre confirms the exact procedure from your registration before booking. The result is the same manufacturer-spec readings the dealer would produce, at network pricing, with a certificate the dealer service department will accept on a future visit.

No. The plug-in hybrid system doesn't change the calibration itself, and in the UK the Omoda 9 is sold as a plug-in hybrid only. The forward camera, radar and side sensors that drive lane keep and adaptive cruise are calibrated the same way whichever powertrain sits under them.

The procedure, the target boards and the post-job certificate are the same as on any other Omoda 9. If the job needs any preconditions on the day, the centre confirms them with the written quote. Send the registration when you enquire and we'll check the exact ADAS spec before booking.
