How calibration works
- 1
Send your details
Quick form, about 60 seconds. Your registration, what's been done or what's wrong, and how to reach you.
- 2
We match you to a service centre
We route your enquiry to the nearest service centre set up for your make. They confirm the itemised quote and the appointment with you direct, in writing, before anything is booked.
- 3
Calibration and certificate
The centre runs the manufacturer-spec calibration and issues your certificate on completion. Any diagnostic scan the job needs is itemised on the quote, never folded in silently.
DS Automobiles calibration prices
Network rates, the same at every service centre, whichever DS is on the ramp. Every price is per system, shown inc VAT with the net figure alongside. Your total is confirmed in writing before anything is booked.
Calibration — per system
Coding a replaced part to your vehicle
- When your job needs a diagnostic scan, it's £54 inc VAT (£45 +VAT), always itemised as its own line. It shows which systems were live before work started.
- Two or more systems in one visit: the highest-priced system is full price, each additional system is 35% off at a centre. Scans aren't part of the discount. Front camera and front radar together come to £267.30 inc VAT (£222.75 +VAT).
- A replaced camera or radar is coded to the vehicle and then calibrated, so a replacement job is the coding line above plus the calibration for that system, with the multi-system discount applied at a centre. Your written quote itemises both.
- On mobile trade visits only: if the technician attends and the calibration can't be completed, a sensor fitted misaligned for example, a call-out fee of up to £72 inc VAT (£60 +VAT) applies.
- Mobile calibration is available for garages and bodyshops with workshop conditions. Ask us.
DS Automobiles ADAS warnings we cover
The windscreen-and-camera walkthrough in full, plus the two nearest stories from elsewhere in the Stellantis family.

ADAS calibration after windscreen replacement
New screen on the DS 4 or DS 9 and a camera warning following you home? The walkthrough explains why fresh glass unsettles the camera's aim, how the recalibration is run and what the job costs.

Distance control deactivated
DS builds on the same Stellantis platforms as Peugeot, and the distance radar sits similarly low in the car's nose. This Peugeot walkthrough covers why radar aim drifts after bumper work and the price of putting one system right, with each calibration run to that maker's documented procedure.

Crash detection fault
Vauxhall is another Stellantis marque, and its front camera and radar mountings sit close to where DS puts them. The Vauxhall walkthrough sets out why several driver aids can drop at once and what one system costs to calibrate, every car following its own maker's documented procedure.

Frequently asked questions
Not from the battery change itself. Swapping the 12V battery doesn't move the forward camera or the front radar, so their aim is exactly where it was before the work started. If a Drive Assist warning appears afterwards, don't jump straight to a calibration booking, because a dash warning doesn't always mean a sensor has physically shifted.
Measure first. The diagnostic scan that settles it is £54 inc VAT (£45 +VAT), itemised as its own line, and the readout shows which system logged the fault and whether anything is genuinely out of tolerance. Send your registration with a note that the battery was changed; the written quote then covers only what the readings support.
Front camera calibration is £162 inc VAT (£135 +VAT), front radar is the same, with the full rate card on this page. Two or more systems in one visit: the highest-priced system is full price and each additional system is 35% off at a centre.
DS sits at the premium end of the Stellantis stable, and dealer labour rates tend to price accordingly: £300 to £900 in quotes customers have shown us for this work, sometimes with an inspection fee added before the calibration is even quoted. The job itself doesn't change with the badge. It's priced per system, run to DS's documented calibration procedure, with every rate published on this page before you get in touch.
Yes, if it carries the forward camera, and on the DS 4 that camera sits at the top of the windscreen; every reading it takes passes through the glass it was calibrated against. A new screen changes that view: fractionally different glass, a fractionally different mounting position, and the camera's stored aim no longer matches what it actually sees. DS Drive Assist and lane keeping both read through that camera, and the car takes them offline rather than run them on an aim it can't verify.
Check the glass fitter's paperwork before assuming the calibration happened; fitting the screen and calibrating the camera are separate jobs, and not every fitter arranges both. Any of our centres runs the camera calibration to DS's documented procedure and hands you the certificate with the post-job readings on it. Front camera calibration is £162 inc VAT (£135 +VAT) at a centre.
DS Night Vision is its own system, separate from the forward camera behind the windscreen that runs DS Drive Assist. Its infrared camera sits low in the front of the car, in the grille area, which is why front-end and bumper work is what usually puts it in question rather than a windscreen change. It was an option rather than standard fit, so the spec sheet or the original order confirms whether your DS 7 has it.
Mention it when you book, along with what work was done. The diagnostic read shows which systems are flagging, and the centre confirms in the written quote which calibrations your car needs, each priced as its own line. Night Vision itself isn't on the published rate card, so any price for it comes from the centre in writing. If the same bumper work has disturbed the front radar, that's one system at £162 inc VAT (£135 +VAT).
Yes. What matters isn't how many DS 9s are on UK roads, it's that the car's forward camera and front radar calibrate to DS's documented procedure the same way the rest of the range does. Rarity doesn't move the price either: the DS 9 goes on the same rate card as a DS 3 or DS 7, from £162 inc VAT (£135 +VAT) for the front camera as one system.
Windscreen replacement and post-collision repair are the usual DS 9 triggers. Send the registration when you enquire so the centre can confirm your car's exact spec, plug-in hybrid variants included. Your quote is confirmed in writing before anything is booked.
No. UK block exemption rules keep the manufacturer warranty intact when service and repair work, calibration included, goes to an independent workshop, provided the work meets the manufacturer's standard. Who did the work isn't grounds for refusing a claim; the standard it was done to is what counts.
That standard is what the paperwork proves. Certificate to manufacturer tolerances, the same standard dealers issue. The job runs to DS's documented calibration procedure, and the certificate logs the post-job readings against those tolerances. File it with the service history and any warranty conversation later starts from written evidence, not memory.
